Andy Roddick @ AEGON Championships 2009

Lovely description of him, courtesy of his introduction at Queens Club this year, no? No, we didn’t think so either. Regardless, the #1 American and the reason I began watching tennis in the first place is making his Wimbledon ’09 debut shortly and as far as I’m concerned, it’s just a stepping stone to the final that he’s going to win in two weeks. His injury from Queen’s is definitely still in the back of my mind, but considering there’s been no news of it since basically right after it happened, we’re going to assume he’s A-OK and ready to kick some Swiss ass.

WELL
I’ve been too distracted by Clement and Llodra that I hadn’t realised Roddick is two games (to love) in.
Let’s get it started, eh?

Correction, ball was good!

After ten days of live tennis and the start of what can only be described as my most reclusive two weeks of the year, we have decided to start a fairly loosely tennis focused tennis blog.

Myself and Rachael generally just want a place to note down what we think of tennis these days so that in years to come we can look back and say ‘What a prick’, or ‘Wow, remember when Roddick had only won one Slam? Weird.’

Online Video on BBC.co.uk is finally working, and working well. Time for a beer, some Clement and then a couple of updates.

Continous updates throughout all of Wimbledon over at http://twitter.com/hussandchips
